Tennessee at Miami now on SATURDAY
Due to the approaching Hurricane Ivan the NFL has moved the game forward a day on the calendar. The kickoff time will be 10am.
The collection of Round One SUBSCRIBER QUALIFYING entries for the H2H Showdown contest is now closed. Deadline for entering was 11pm PST on Saturday (entries after the Miami-Tennessee start will get 1/2 point for that game). Good luck to those who submitted picks and we will post the winners on Tuesday!
WEEK ONE COVERAGE BEGINS
Please note that a number of features will not appear until later in the season when teams have played several times. In addition the majority of our statistical tools have not shown predictive value in week one games, understandable in that the data is all from last season and teams may have dramatically changed in their abilities since then.
Be Cautious in playing the early weeks of the season
Our approaches become much stronger once teams have played a number of games. Be sure to read any notation as to the past history of a feature in week one matchups.

IMPORTANT: We do NOT recommend playing teams selected by the statistical tools in week one games! The analysis is based on last season's data and is not adjusted for changes in personnel and coaching.

A word about lines: we use the consensus line at the time data is made available. This is the line for our record-keeping purposes. You should however make every attempt to get the most favorable line when you actually place a wager. Line-shopping can improve your results over the course of a season by several percentage points.
