    Week Four Wrap-Up
The week saw underdogs and favorites split at 7-7, and the dogs hold a 31-28-1 lead on the year. The Home teams were 7-7 and are 33-26-1 on the season. Home dogs were 1-1 and are 11-6 overall. Meanwhile the totals saw the unders on top 8-6, and the unders lead with a 34-25-1 record.

Week four is the first week many of our features begin making 'counted' predictions, and even there it seems we should exclude games where one of the sides has not played three times. It was another losing week overall, but we fully expect features to get back on track and to post solid records by year end. The following table lists the indicators we will be tracking this season from high to low based on their season to date performance:

    Timing Notes
The first update for a week is always on TUESDAY by 3pm Pacific Time. Several columns/features appear over the next few days, with everything posted by FRIDAY.

The Message Boards are now up and running. Since some subscribers did not express interest in them, we have not pre-registered anyone so you will need to REGISTER. Let us know if you experience any difficulties viewing/posting to the boards. The boards are an excellent place to ask questions regarding our features and subscriber coverage.

A word about lines: we use the consensus line at the time data is made available. This is the line for our record-keeping purposes. You should however make every attempt to get the most favorable line when you actually place a wager. Line-shopping can improve your results over the course of a season by several percentage points.

You can also track the progress of the Season Win Picks.

Using injury data to pick Winners
The latest update on our classic injury research of a few years ago. Can we find a way to use the injury information released by the NFL to devise a method for predicting how teams will perform with injured players? Subscriber follow-up: Injury Report Result Charts
