NFL selections from Kevin Lewis

If you are one of the millions of people who has already read the "Bringing Down the House" bestseller, then Kevin Lewis will need no introduction. He is the central character and 'big player' in the team of MIT students who won millions of dollars at Blackjack over a span of several years from casinos throughout the country. His expertise however extends well beyond the game of '21' and indeed over the past two seasons he has published weekly picks for every single game, with a winning record of better than 55%!

Kevin will also be a participant in our Head-to-Head Challenge.

NFL Week Ten

9-5 rebound last week brings me to 61-63-4… inching back to mediocrity…

This weeks games are pretty interesting with a fair amount of home dogs again…

KC -4 @ NO
KC needs this game desperately and NO may be ready to quit and start the Haslett watch.

Baltimore -1 @ NY Jets
Don’t really like taking a road favorite of this small a number but the bottom line is the Jets may be in a bit of trouble against a Baltimore defense which is playing well.

Cleveland +4.5 over Pittsburgh
Obvious let down spot for the Steelers… Although, Steelers seem to match up well with Cleveland, Cleveland D has played very well at home and this game will likely be low scoring and close.

Seattle +1.5 over St. Louis
Payback is a b*tch and a St. Louis team that is simply not that good will have trouble here against a Seattle team which seems to be coming around a bit.

Chicago +7 @ Tennessee
How do you handicap this game other than understanding that Tennessee has not been good all season and really are not explosive without a full complement of wide receivers.

Minnesota +4 @ GB
GB is on a roll but Minnesota plays them well and GB is no longer the same tough place to play. Onterrio Smith has a great game here and Minnesota sneaks out with a win.

SF -1 over Carolina
Niners are just too beat up but Carolina is equally bad and I’ll take my chances on the home team this week as they are still playing hard and will want a win here.

NE -8.5 over Buffalo
Pats reminded everyone last week why they are the defending champs. They own Buff and Bledsoe and will this game by DD.

Jacksonville -3 over Detroit
Line is low because Garrard starts and Leftwich is out but Jacksonville is still an underrated team as their defensive ratings are low because of the tough schedule that they have played but I think they win this game by more than a TD.

TB +3.5 @ Atlanta
Bucs have played well since Griese took over and have the speed on defense to contain Michael Vick. Atlanta is still a bit overrated and this is a must win game for TB.

Arizona +2.5 over NYG
Arizona’s win in Miami is impressive because no matter what you think that Miami D is still solid at home. Giants lost two important D linemen and will have trouble here in the desert heat.

Houston +9.5 @ Indy
Indy defense is sooo bad that giving 9.5 points with them is a joke. Carr has mastered the fourth quarter offense which will keep this game in reach the whole time.

Washington -3 over Cincy
Sort of a weird game but Washington’s D is good enough to pull out a win. Gibbs will pound Portis who is now on pace to carry the ball 408 times this season (4 short of the NFL record). And Washington will come out with a victory.

Dallas +6.5 over Philly
Dallas has a great history against the Eagles and although they are a team in turmoil if there were ever a time to respond it will be here.
