NFL Power Rankings

Welcome to our NFL power rankings page for the 2005 pro football season. Our power rankings use a variety of statistical indicators, including drive charts, play-by-play data, red zone performance and more to come up with our supercharged power rating numbers.

There is no shortage of sites posting NFL Power Rankings, but we like to think that the TwoMinuteWarning NFL power rankings have a little something special added in!

Making NFL power rankings for Week One

It's obviously a challenge to have to create NFL power rankings before the regular season has begun, but we're finding in our research that preseason performance can be more revealing than you might think. Still, our "power ranking formula" is based primarily on a number of excellent in-season indicators and we will settle for being close for now with the understanding that shortly we will be honing in on true NFL team ability rankings.
