Player Utilization Numbers -
Quarterback
TwoMinuteWarning's fantasy player stats are designed to take into account more than the basic yards and touchdown numbers.
By watching every play of every game, we can provide in-depth analysis beyond the ordinary.
Our focus is to measure a player's utilization and opportunities to accrue fantasy points, along with his actual game efforts.
Our player utilization stats showcase the following data:
- Plays -- the number of times the player either rushed, passed, or was the intended receiver
- Play % -- the percentage of a team's total offensive plays that the player either rushed, passed or was the intended receiver
- Red Zone Plays -- the number of times the player either rushed, passed or was the intended receiver inside the opponent's 20 yard line
- Red Zone % -- the percentage of a team's total red zone offensive plays that the player either rushed, passed or was the intended receiver
- Inside the 5 -- the number of plays at the opponent's 5 yard line or closer that a player rushed, passed or was the intended receiver
- Production % -- We calculate an 'opportunity points' value for every play and then produce a production ratio of a player's actual fantasy points compared to his opportunity points.
How to use these ratings: since opportunity and performance will over the
long haul go hand in hand to some extent, you should upgrade players with both high utilization and good actual performance. A player with a low number of active plays but big stats (generally from touchdowns) is unlikely to continue to perform as well. On the other hand a player with lots of opportunities but little in the way of results may be in danger of seeing his "opps" diminish since his production is poor.
